Hi All. I’m Richard Marsh; known by friends and people on the local Soul scene as Tricky. Born in Petersfield and moved to Waterlooville in 2017, a family man married in ’81 with a son and two daughters. My interest in music started in ’72 as a 16 year old DJ playing at youth clubs and village halls.

Through the 70’s my roadshow moved on to much bigger venues and also resident club work until I retired from the music scene the year I got
married. In the 90’s wanting to get my son into sport I then got involved in youth soccer which lead me to take my coaching badges reaching a full coaching certificate and working with the FA on development which I did for over 20yrs.

Through the 90’s to the present day I have also been guest DJing at local Soul music events which is the reason behind my show on “The Flash” The Soul Train is a trip through Soul music of the 60’s and 70’s but also touches on other years if the songs meet the same criteria. Some of the music played is from my vinyl collection which I have put together over many years.

Magic moments for me apart from marriage and children have been.

Being involved in a Goalkeeping session with the great Ray Clemence on the old Wembley pitch.
Seeing one of my trainees sign a £15m contract for Arsenal and still playing.
Meeting Edwin Starr on his tour Bus and chatting for over 40 minutes.
Martin Kirby allowing me the chance to join the wonderful Flash team and to present my show on the radio.
