Chris presents The World of Music on Sundays at 9:00pm – the genre hopping, time travelling collection of all types of music from all over the world. Chris is a classically trained musician, playing the violin and piano since the age of eight. He plays violin in a Chichester orchestra and string quartet. Chris was a teenager in the late seventies and early eighties and has a soft spot for alt-pop, new wave, electronica, reggae and ska music of that era.
Now retired, having sold a software company which he had set up in the mid 1980’s, today Chris runs Singing Gorilla Projects, a charity supporting remote rural communities in the hills of southern Uganda. The charity created a music school that delivers pre-owned musical instruments from the UK to the local communities in rural Uganda.
